The play is based on a 1975 best-selling novel of the same name by James Clavell. The story is set in Japan in 1600, when it was the dawn of a century's civil war, that is, the joint war of Kanahara. In the face of the enemies of the five Laozhong United against themselves, Yoshii Toranaga Daimai (Hiroshi Makada) must fight for his life.
